I woke in high spirits today. For working moms, this doesn't just happen. We sleep late and wake up early. So yes, this role is fulfilling and very demanding at the same time. Its harder when you do not have a DM. (Lol, you'd be forgiven to think I am a mother of Four, three jumpy babies and one lazy Omuhusband.😁😁) Anyway, DM or no DM, parenting cannot be delegated.
Back to the high spirits, so I did my chores and was at the Matatu stop on time, Bus or tuk-tuk stage ukipenda. So, idk where the vehicles were. We, si I waited. Anyway, one finally did come and as you can imagine, many of us who are still in a walking nation were at the stage. So yes, demand was higher than supply.
We are huffed in like no ones business. Fast-forward na nimefika job, dude pitisha's me to the next stop. This is despite me calling on him as loud as I could. Those who know me in person know I can get loud. My voice kinda offended him so akaamua tu anipitishe to get back.
I finally alight. I am angry. I throw one kind word at the conductor. I am making faces and cursing.
As I take a walk back to where I should have alighted, I am thinking, why should I allow someone I don't even know ruin my day. Again, I have a whole day ahead of me, tasks lined up, beautiful souls to engage...name it
God had it that I fikad to work safe, Its not always that people reach the destinations they had purposed to. So, yes, regardless of the mishandling, God has provided a lot to be grateful for.
Finally, is it not this mishandling that reminds us that, that car is not ours? That as much as there are rights, which many a times will be stepped on, boarding a mat does not amount to buying it? That if you want convenience and comfort then you should know what you got to do?
See, I think that's basically it in many areas of our life.Let me explain. There are people out there with nasty attitudes, who will want to make you hate your family, your work place, certain institutions etc. Never give anyone that satisfaction. If you must, let that satisfaction drive you to causing some change. If not, choose to be happy, always.
By the way, what did you have for breakfast?
Hot coffee with ginger and lemon is such a good start. keep it sugarless. 😜😜😜
Have a lovely Tuesday, won't you?
